July 4, 2026 Marks the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence

John Adams wrote “[Independence Day] ought to be commemorated, as the Day of Deliverance by solemn Acts of Devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with Pomp and Parade, with Shews, Games, Sports, Guns, Bells, Bonfires, and Illuminations from one End of this Continent to the other from this Time forward forever more.”

A 250th collaboration meeting will be held Monday, April 7, 2025 @ 7pm in the Burley City Council room.
